Timeless Graphic Design of Cipe Pineles 1910 – 1991
The graphic design career of Cipe Pineles (pronounced SEE-pee pi-NELL-iss) reads lika a fairy-tale come true. Her style and vision lives yet today! Cipe Pineles Burtin was the first woman to be asked to join the “all-male” New York Art Directors Club and later their Hall of Fame. She worked in editorial design for publisher Condé Nast, first at Vogue under Russian émigré art director M.F. Agha and later at Glamour, House and Garden, and Seventeen.
