Low and behold we catch back up with her and discover she’s continuing as one of the masters of lettering fonts in the world! Ladies and gentlemen, please meet Lura Worthington . . . .

Seymour Chwast: Using irony and sympathy in graphic design

You’ve heard me speak of Seymour Chwast many times in the past. He’s an icon of the graphic design world, and when he speaks — designers should listen. That’s why I just had to post this as soon as I discovered it. Thanks to Steven Heller for passing this along. This is good stuff, folks, don’t miss it !

60-Seconds #332 : How to make sure your email doesn’t end up in the spam traps and trash!

After spending about six hours tracking and reporting spam, do you think I need to see one more? No? Well then, don’t send me your press release that looks like spam. Take a look at this and see how bad it can get

You are at risk : ransomware, sextortion, cyberstalking, phishing, malware

And now the bad news : there are fewer and fewer websites that follow the Design Center’s anti-spam, anti-stalk rules — most websites do not, and it’s getting worse. You know you’re always safe at Graphic-Design.com since we’ve been spam-free for more than a quarter of a century — but you’d better watch out where ever else you surf. I encourage you to follow my other column, Safe Netting in the User Group Network where we try to keep you informed of the latest threats — ransomware, sextortion, cyberstalking, phishing, malware, and a host of spam-born and website delivered attacks that are out to get YOU! You are at risk : ransomware, sextortion, cyberstalking, phishing, malware

    Goodbye Winter, hello Summer

Now that the weather is finally getting nice, here on the North American continent, I suspect you’ll be spending less time on the grind stone and more time in your personal pleasures! So take your digital camera or phone camera along and capture some fantastic photos to share with the rest of us!

We say goodbye to the Publishers’ Warehouse this month. Or, shall I say it will remain in place, with all items, but we will no longer be adding to that library. From now on, if I write about something that is a free download, the download link will be in the article as opposed to sending you to the Warehouse loading dock.

Thanks for reading… go forth and be creative!
