Tip #89
[ Paths from Illustrator

This is a popular question, and seemed appropriate to include here with our "egg" thread. Understand that when you paste a path from the vector program (Illustrator, etc.) into your raster program (Photoshop) you're only going to get the path with paint attributes stripped out. You'll need to stroke, or create selection of the path in order to redefine your attributes.

However, pay careful attention to the "Paste" dialog which gives you the choice of pasting the paths or pasting pixels. If you want to retain all your wonderful handiwork from the drawing program click the "Paste as Pixels" option and click the "Anti-alias" button. Both options are very valuable depending on the desired results.

This thread relates to "#87 Eggs" and "#89 Vector to Rip"
