Could Graphic Design Help People Better Relate To Each Other?

graphic design creative inspiration We all prioritize different things in our lives. That’s what makes us unique, but it can also make us feel as if we’re more different from one another than we really are. Why can’t you understand that my collection of pictures of cats dressed in wedding dresses is just as important to me as your charity work is to you?
Now on Kickstarter, Values is a new deck of flashcards that aims to make people realize there isn’t such a big gap between all of us, really.

Getting Closer to the California Print Junkie Who Designed Jay Z’s “Holy Grail”

graphic design creative inspiration From a young age, the artist, graphic designer and California native Brian Roettinger grew up acutely aware of design in his daily life — in large part, he says,
because of the stuff my parents and grandparents had around the house, including a vast record collection, not to mention quintessential suburban ’70s furniture. Looking and talking about photos was a common affair in our household. My mother, meanwhile, would make macramé and paint.

Can you name the movie?

graphic design creative inspiration Using only circles, famous movies are transformed into clever minimalist posters. But are they really? How many do you recognize?
Australian designer Nick Barclay has just launched a new series that’s all about famous films but with his usual trademark and minimalist slant. He condenses down each film into either one circle or many, in various sizes and colours, just giving us a hint of a favourite movie and sparking memories of famous scenes.

Astonishing series of photographs of four sisters shot every year for 40 years

graphic design creative inspiration We loved this truly is a remarkable series.
Boston-based photographer Nicholas Nixon has photographed his wife Bebe and her three younger sisters, Mimi, Heather, and Laurie every single year since 1975. The project has become a family ritual with each frame punctuating the passing of years.

graphic design creative inspiration Graphic designer Lauren O’Neil studied the world of street fashion, layout design, and typography during her years at Emmanuel College.
Today, the 22-year-old works a professional day job at education firm Amplify, but you can still catch her fashionable eye and edge on Instagram @lauoneil.

Dust & Noise Overlay Textures

graphic design creative inspiration Well, if your photos aren’t bad enough, you can always make them look worse by using Instagram filters or many of the stupid filters out there. But serieously folks, there are situations where those perfect digital photos need to look like you pulled them out of your sock drawer. These dust and noise textures are great to add a retro or worn out look to your photos and artwork. The pack contains six high resolution PNG files that could be used as backgrounds as well.
