Anton Semenov : Gloom
This image blew me away. Incredible.
Anton Semenov is one sick dude! Seriously — He’s from Bratsk, Russia– his Creative Fields are Character Design, Digital Art, Illustration. Recognized a number of times, you can see a lot more sick stuff at his blog. THe only thing not in Russian is the title: “Gloom” …

Masters of the Cutaway
Cutaways are a fantastic intersection of technical drawing, graphic design, transportation design and architecture. Here’s a good series that features some of the best in the industry.
In the 1990’s, DK released Look Inside Cross-Sections, a popular book series on various modes of transportation, including military planes, trains and cars.
Batman: Death by Design
First announced during October’ New York Comic Con, the DC Comics graphic novel Batman: Death by Design deals explicitly with the construction of Gotham City, one of superhero comics’ most iconic locales that has obviously inspired some excellent graphic design and illustration over the decades.

The Death of Logo Design
We’ve warned of this eventuality for years… now it seems to be coming to life. With literally hundreds of thousands of “artists” coming online in India and other emerging countries — with mob work forces willing to work for 50-cents a day, we may soon see the end of well designed brands as we know them.
PR Wire sez : “DesignCrowd — an online ‘crowdsourcing’ marketplace that in November 2011 received $3M of investment from Starfish Ventures — has announced the acquisition of Brandstack.com, a leading online marketplace of ready-made brands and logos. Following the acquisition, DesignCrowd launched BrandCrowd.com to combine the Brandstack service with the existing DesignCrowd community.”
