We don’t usually see new text faces with as much personality as the INDEX family. The type designers these days seem to all be targeting display fonts.

We’re thrilled to discover the handiwork of Josh Darden and Timothy Glaser.

. . . Look at the italics. (Seen in our header above) Suddenly here’s a sans serif face that grows little serifs in the italic posture! Look at that lower case ‘e’ and the ‘g’ ... really elegant, and well matched between all of the weights.
I discovered while experimenting with the font that it crunches and kerns superbly! Reducing lead, and character spacing doesn’t harm readability at all! (Until, of course you’ve gone too far!) Anyone who has ever put out a newsletter or annual report knows that this kind of counting in a font is well worth its weight in gold. Turn a three column-by-10-inch article into a three column-by-8-inch column!
