Yes, it's March again and you know what that means -- Designing Women! We decided to skip all the bad stuff this month and go with an all-star line-up of wonderful works including self portraits from * Gemma Roberts, * Anne Pogoda, * Katherine Dinger, * Suzanne van Pelt, * Anna Steinbauer, and * Emily Warren! If these ladies aren't inspiring, you'd better check your pulse!
But be careful what you click on, and make sure the link is the actual link. All of these vendors employ various shrouded spam links disguised as download links to get you to click! Another reason PHOTOSHOP MADNESS is where you practically go mad trying to find the most useful stuff for Photoshop!
Frozen Lilacs? Emily Warren
There's absolutely nothing frozen about Emily's work! We found her self-portrait and immediately knew she's the Mucha of our time!
Her Fantasy art is akin to the work of Borris or Frazetta, and her comic art can top any seen in the Marvel collection. (In fact, she's worked for Marvel!) She's a freelancer -- her talents are not just sparkling and broadly diverse ... but they're also available!

Gemma Roberts is Amberdust
Gemma Roberts, artist and animator does some wonderful work -- we found both an old self-portrait and then a newer one that's much better!
In the enlargement, this experimental self-portrait drawn from a photograph really shows some exciting texture. (See early version enlargement)

Anne Pogoda's work is superb, and she is not timid in allowing downloads of files and tutorials! We can all learn a lot here.
Check out Anne's FaceBook page, the latest stuff is there -- and you can download the striking painting as a PSD file by clicking here - and see more of her early works at azurelle.deviantart.com.

Katherine is another rare talent with art on both a personal site and the Deviant.
Katherine provides us with some superb walkthroughs and tutorials for how she paints various things. (Sure, as if you thought you could!)

Anna Steinbauer Illustration
We ran across Anna (from Austria) when searching for Photoshop step-by-step, and she sure has some at her blogspot site. We love this lady's art!
She's also on Deviant where you'll find a ton of truly wonderful works from whimsey to serious -- while she says she favors sci-fi and fantasy. Her self-portrait is truly masterful!
On Deviant, Anna is Depingo
Suzanne from Norway
I was drawn to the work of Suzanne van Pelt simply because I went to school with a young woman named Suzanne van Pelt. Amazing, eh? Well, not to bother, this is NOT the same. This Suzanne is from Norway!
Suzanne writes : "I'm FINALLY getting better at my sharpness!!! YAY! lol" Well, if you browse her work you'll see she really has no problem with sharpness. She also offers tutorials and a couple of interesting walk-throughs.
Here's a sequential, step-by-step of Suzanne's work
