Cropping in PS 6

...crop, drag 'n' drop!

Click on the cropping tool, (or tap the letter 'C') and drag a selection rectangle.
* Commit the crop: double click inside the selection, or hit enter.
* Scale or change the crop: drag any handle.
* Rotate the crop: place cursor just outside the selection at the corners. Double-head arrows allow dragging to rotate.
* Get a square crop: hold down on the shift when dragging
Cropping Secrets
Did you know you can crop and resize at the same time? Well, you can.
Before dragging your selection, set the desired width and height in the options bar. You can also set the resolution if you like. Now drag the marquee. Notice how you can change location and rotate the selection but not change aspect ratio. (Because it is locked.) When you apply the crop, the image is cropped and resized to the target size and resolution. Sweet.
Cropping to a target size.
if you need to crop to match a specific size in either direction, just set one of the dimensions in the options bar. For instance, leave the width blank, and the image will crop to the specific height. Regardless of the crop's width.
Blank width and height -- set resolution
Now the marquee is not constrained and the cropped results will be scaled to the target resolution without resampling the image!
   Try it... you'll like it!
