Tip #101 We're fading fast...

[How do you get an image to
fade out to the edges ?


* Make a selection in the shape you wish to fade
* Select Feather from the Selection Menu
* Invert selection (Selection Menu)
* Delete, cut or copy.

For more sophisticated fades, build a mask and use the blend tool. Blend from foreground to transparent.

We did a seminar on a whole series of different techniques some time ago in PST&T. I'll try to dig it up and get it into our site here.
