Tip #91 While on the topic of TIF files...

[ Can I make a Tif Clipping Path?

There's a lot of discussion about clipping paths placed in DTP programs.
Evidently there must be some discussions on the news groups because we just recently got a flurry of inquiries for validation.

Ladies and Gentlemen allow me to kill the rumor:

YES, PageMaker DOES support clipping paths from Photoshop in TIF files. Period.

There are some rumors to the contrary floating around.
Photoshop 3.0 or later will attach a clipping path to either EPS or TIF files. Generally you'll want to use the EPS version, however in any Windows'95 product you'll get the best results using the TIF format.

(Windows doesn't fully understand the page description language and finds it easier to simply count pixels.)

So now you can stop writing and asking. (he says grinning)
