The Online Book page
If you're into full texts of books, the "Online Books Page" at the Univ. of Pennsylvania has more than 15,000 full-text books available for free. Sometimes text is best. If you travel with a laptop, download the texts. Then you can load a RAM disk, and read from New York to LA without depleting your battery! (Don't forget to load the full text and the text reader into your RAM disk, and run the whole thing without spinning up the hard drive!)
