Welcome to the DT&G Business Department

"Usability" has become the buzz word in the web design industry these days, and for good reason! We encourage anyone who is involved in web design to somehow get to New York City this month....

Website Usability Tools and Techniques: How to Optimize the User Experience

Usability is one element of the customer experience that can make or break the success of your site. If users cannot easily navigate your site and find what they are looking for, the competition is only a click away. In fact, a recent study revealed that:
“46% of users have on at least one occasion been driven to alternate sites because their preferred site failed”
.
So what is “good usability?” Website usability is dependent upon a combination of elements including consistency in the site layout, a logical and intuitive navigational system, strong, easy-to-find content, and straightforward pages that enable users to reach the information or product they need with ease and simplicity. The experience that users have on your website will determine whether they will return to your site as loyal users.
