Sci Fi illustration: Gallery of Cyborg illustrations

Thirty years later, there's still an obsession with blurring the lines between man and machine. Here is a walk through 25 illustrations where the artist visualizes a merger of human and machine ... or machines that immitate humans, or humans which have been modified with machine parts . . . very often called cyborgs, or Borgs. Enjoy February 2, 2015

Sci Fi illustration: Erasing the line between man and machine

The movie "The Terminator" starring Arnold Schwarzenegger, was probably the first to really bring the concept of the cyborg to the forefront. There had been others, but none really as compelling as that famous series. The movie's creator James Cameron probably never suspected that his film in 1984 would spawn a generation of cyborg fans -- still very much alive 30 years later! February 2, 2015
