Last month’s “Flaming Text in Photoshop” inspiration page was very hot — so we’re doing it again! Here is the last in our series of HOT text effects for Photoshop users. There was another page, but unfortunately of all the tutorials we’ve collected, six of the websites no longer exist, or have been converted into revenue parking sites. As we’ve said many times before, that’s a familiar new ploy of domainers: build up traffic by ‘borrowing’ content from other sites, and then switch to revenue link farms. Oh well. They’re gone.

Pop-Up Text Effect
While not exactly “hot” — this one uses warm colors for the effect. Give it the look you like! A couple of gradient layers and the bending of a shadow is enough to give the basic effect of a paper cut word inserted on a folded paper. (DL)

For lack of a better description, “Small Tutorials” calls this one “electric wrap” …. I don’t see where the electric comes in — but it’s pretty hot looking anyway. It’s simple and quick.

Next time, I’ve saved up a whole pile of “COOL” text effects… it’s gotten pretty hot here in July, so by the time we get to August, we’ll be ready for some cooling off tutorials!
