Out of Bounds – a real favorite
With this action you can create reallly cool effects where objects is placed out of bounds of an background image. It is a powerful effect ex. to catch peoples attention fx. a specific area on a website front page.
Be sure to see the “competition” where everyone sends in their ‘out of bounds’ examples. It’s free, but it does require a registration. (There’s also a video!)
That ‘old’ photo print look …
As an experimental photographer, Sakir Yildirim from Turkey knows the filters and techniques he uses.
His “Old Photo Action” gives photos the blunt-saturated look of photos that have been in the shoebox a while.
Crystal Ball Action
Turn your photo into a”Crystal Ball” with a kalidascope look and feel! Generally intended for square photos, you also get some cool effects with rectangles too!
All from the mind of Rick Bell, who’s interest in photography began in the mid 1960’s. You’ll enjoy visiting the whole Shutterfreaks Team!
Photoshop Actions Pack by ReehBR
Renan is a Digital Artist from Brazil who brings you this massive pack of TEN actions packed for Photoshop CS/CS2/CS3/CS4.
Each Action will create a layer on top of the one you’re working on, so that you can delete it in case it’s not the effect you want, or so that you can play with the opacity.
You’ll want this InFection
Emilio Pathology is what this artist calls himself … current residence is the “Hospital of Dark Dreams” … the Deviant Art gallery has some shocking art works… not all of which are good. However, the plug-in seems to work beautifully.
“InFection” does a quick and relatively good sepiatone conversion.
Black And White by Jean Billey
The “Black And White” action by Jean Billey converts your pictures to B&W using a technique by Russel Preston Brown.
… takes a lot of the guess-work out of converting to black and white.
Vintage Effect – Ps Actions
Yes, yet another “Vintage Effect” package … when will they all end!
On the other hand, this one is from Photoshop-stock Resources & Stock Images who actually know what a good ‘vintage’ action is supposed to do. (They actually have quite a few good actions you may wish to try)
Rapidfire Tutorials by Julia Starr
Wow, this 20-years-old, Las Vegas native (if we can believe the profile) has some knockout stuff … not to mention a whole series of great tutorial “graphic” files.
just a few. . .
