Facebook Unveils Timeline: The Story Of Your Life On A Single Page

Today at Facebook’s f8 conference in San Francisco, CEO Mark Zuckerberg took the stage to unveil the next evolution of the service. The first major change? The Profile.
      Zuckerberg noted that the original Profile was sort of like the last five minutes of your life. The updated Proile from 2008 extended that to show what was sort of like the last 15 minutes or your life. The new Profile unveiled today is ‘the rest,’ Zuckerberg noted. He calls this feature Timeline.

Facebook Reveals Major Updates at F8 [VIDEO]

Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg is about to make some major announcements that will change Facebook as we know it.
      The social network has been keeping busy in the lead-up to f8, its annual developer conference. In the past few weeks, the company has revamped Friend Lists, added a real-time ticker, launched changes to News Feed and rolled out a Subscribe button for following anybody’s public updates.

After being invite-only for nearly three months, Google+ is opening up to everyone. Writing on its official company blog about the 99 improvements that have been made to the product since launching, Google’s Vic Gundotra wrote,
      “We’re ready to move from field trial to beta, and introduce our 100th feature: open signups.”
