Type Love Typography Experiment

Creative inspiration

This is one we ran across, and really liked
... Tati Ferrigno is from Brazil ... his (her) web site says very little about him (her) and is programmed in 100% flash so little could be learned.

Karen Cantu Shines

Creative inspiration

We know virtually nothing about Karen, other than she's from Monterrey, Mexico, her focus is Typography, Graphic Design and Editorial Design, and she does some shining work!

Ply.Series ~ Ampersand

Creative inspiration

THis is art by Mark_Caneso, some pretty cool stuff can be found at his site ... He writes :
Having a little fun with a new ampersand I drew over the holidays. I router cut it out of 3/8 inch plywood and mounted it to an 18 x 22 inch piece of the same wood.

How to Warp Text in Adobe Illustrator

Creative inspiration

there are ten million tutorials on the naked web. Most are pure crap. A large percentage are people who think they're cool. A smaller percentage are people who are cool. This is one of those.
How to Warp Text in Adobe Illustrator - comes from Michael Locke -- Michael Locke Web Design Videos. I think he put the Photoshop tutorial in there just to scoop in that market, since his main thing is Web design.

Typography is now on Facebook

Creative inspiration

LOL ... I just had to laugh when I saw this one ... sheesh. They've already gotten 87,000 followers. He's (or "she's") showing lots of typography images that have been on the web for ages. I guess the Facebook crowd just hadn't found them yet. Unfortunately, they just download the images and reload them to Facebook without crediting the original artist.
This one is "ball point pen" art ... and looks fresh and crisp. There are tons of ball-point examples online. Many are good, like this one, even if the letterforms aren't drawn properly.
